Poaching recruits

Are we worried that Graham will poach some of our recruits for UT? I seem to remember other guys, like say, Reaves (for Kiffin), who left and tried to recruit USC commitments to follow them. (I don't recall Beamer trying this so much - but I could be wrong).

if you are expecting good manners & above board honesty in recruiting, you will be disappointed. if his employer tells him to go after our guys, i am betting he will do as he is told.
derek dooley cant afford to be honest much longer, if ever. one more lousy season & he is gone

I would be genuinely surprised if there was any "poaching" of any committed recruits. Most coaches don't want to burn bridges. You never know when you may need another job.
That being said, any 2013 recruits that Graham had laid groundwork I am sure will be fair game in their mind. I though it stinks, I can't say that is actually poaching.

He is now working for Tennessee and by definition is obligated to do all he can do to help their program. A hard lesson for young recruits to learn is that coaches come and go but the school is always there. Make sure you choose a school for the right reasons.

I'm not worried about the class of 2012. I'm worried about the Charlotte area prospects in the class of 2013, including #1 rated recruit in NC LB Larenz Bryant.

This. The only commit he was really involved with was Jody Fuller.

This is why I think having more than one guy on prospects is a good idea. We will be getting a report about Davis visiting UT pretty soon Im sure.. Who didn't see that coming??
If Jay Graham had gotten the Rec. Coordinator position when Beamer left I think he would still be here. Oh well

The reason we may not sign a top RB recruit this season is not because of someone named Graham it is because of folks named Lattimore, Carson, and Wilds..TN can offer their starting and backup running back spots to kids and immediate playing time as can likely GA. We will get a big time guy next year..
