My best friend and his wife had their first child (boy) last Tuesday. Right now that baby boy named Christian is in the OR sedated and having open heart surgery to correct a condition of his heart not receiving enough oxygen rich blood. Your prayers are greatly appreciated. We are confident he is amongst some of the best doctors in the country, but we also believe in the power of prayer by numbers.

The OR nurse called and said Christian is doing fine in the OR and they will be removing him from the heart & lung bypass machine soon. The repairs are done. We assume they did the full repair, but it wasn't made clear. Christian should not had had to go on the bypass machine if they did the shunt. He still has a few hours to go. God is definetly moving in this hospital. Our families huddled with hands held in prayer in the waiting room and that was awesome to see how everyone was affected by Jesus working on them. Thanks again everyone!

Praise God! Christian made it out of the OR. They did the full repair and everything went as expected. He does have a pacemaker for the next few days. The doctors expect him to be off te pacemaker within three days, but there is a chance he will have to have one permanently. The doctor said it went as close to perfect as possible. They also closed his chest rather than leaving it open to deal with the swelling. We should be able to see him soon. We will keep posting updates as he recovers. I want to extend my deepest gratitude to everyone who said some kind words and prayers. Please keep them coming!!
