  • Been here a couple of years and for the first time something compelled me to check out the folks from the upstate's site. Enjoy!

  • One poster mentioned not being able to stop a slow, white QB. Someone might want to tell him Shaw runs a 4.5 or 4.6 forty. Oh well, they are looking for a lot of excuses... and we just keep winning.

  • Did you see that guy that called Connor a "slow, white QB"?

If Connor Shaw is slow, then dabo doesn't sleep with his mother.

BASEBALL: It's all mental at this point. Sakerlina has developed a mental edge over Clemson now. Leggett might as well be Coach Klein from The Waterboy and Ray Tanner is Coach Red.
FOOTBALL: Recruiting and Talent Development. Our bad recruiting class in 2009 coupled with their new S&C program have put them way ahead us in the "physically tough" department. Not to mention Kevin Steele's ineptitude at stopping slow white running QB's.
BASKETBALL: Talent. Pure and simple. Last season's game was a perfect example. Brownell coached circles around whats-his-face, but their guys were just able to hit more shots. Even so it was a close game. Swap the talent on the two teams and we blow them out by 20.

Yeah, my thoughts were rats in a cage turning on each other - I TRY to be objective, it appears that some of the folks posting over there were/are objective and were pretty blunt about the way they see/feel about their program and what might be lacking, but man, to say some are delusional or in denial is a gross understatement to say the least, among other things, the posts about Shaw's speed, the guy going on about Roth not having talent, mentioning his Dad etc. - the question I would like to ask then is, if Roth is not that talented then why was he so successful against their baseball squad?, being objective, we have our own share of delusional fans as well and life IS a cycle, but some of the folks up there either refuse to see or accept the fact that, for now at least, we seem to have the upper hand in the rivalry.

PS - Watched College Football Live earlier, Palmer and Huard were discussing West Va. going to Big 12, mentioned the Orange Bowl score vs. the upstate folks two/three different times, made me chuckle to say the least. The interview with their coach prior to that bowl game saying something along the lines of the country was going to remember their defense; well he was pretty prophetic, nobody will forget that defensive performance. We took a beatdown against Auburn in the SECCG a couple years ago and that, along w/ the bowl loss a month later was embarassing but their appearance as conference champion in their bowl game last year trumps us and just about any others that come to mind. The running joke for the next few years anytime their school name is mentioned again will be "West Virginia just scored again!".

Yeah, whoever thinks that USC baseball was worse than average is living in a world with which I am not familiar. That taterneck has no clue.
