Question For Strelow


  • Swinney has a much publicized policy of rescinding Scholarship offers to verbal commitments that take other visits. I believe earlier he did just that.
    Now it is my understanding Nkemdiche has done just that and has other visits either planned or contemplated.
    has Swinney made any comment or hinted at what he will do regarding Nkendiche?
    If he doesn't take action isn't that a double standard that will hurt him in the eyes of Recruits and their Coaches?

  • He allows players to take other visits as long as he knows about it. He took away that one guys offer because he visited UNC without telling anyone.

    He already came out and said every recruit is different I believe. So much for "policy".

    good luck getting him to answer that question. The good news is you can ask the questions here without getting banned ask it over there and their panties get all in a wad

  • The question was answered already. If Dabo knows about it and kid is being up front that he wants to commit but take other visits it's ok....

    If a kid is being shady..."Gary Gray" would be good example, then Dabo cuts him. Now I don't know if Dabo would cut a Sammy Watkins if he went on some secret/suprise visit, but i'm not sure that's happened yet.

    This is a nice example of after-the-fact rationalization. The truth is that the kid whose schollie got pulled wasn't as good as advertised, adn wasn't as in demand as he claimed. When Abo & Co. found this out, they used the "taking other visits" as an excuse to pull the schollie because they knew they couldn't simply admit they admit properly evaluated the kid before extending the offer. And that's why you won't see him pull another schollie for the same offense.

  • Its very simple guys, the mcdonald kid wasn't good enough, hw took a visit here with a teammate and dabo came out saying what he did. He would never pull that with nkemdiche or any recruit ne felt was top level, knowing or not knowing about it.
    If you believe otnerwise, dabo has a scholarship for you.

    I would have to turn that scholarship down, would not even take the visit. I mean who wants to play at a school that the arch riva l beats them down on a yearly basis in every sport. They play in an inferior conference and have a football coach that acts like dabo and baseball coach that acts like jack leg.....

    dabo cannot comment on a commit until he signs. He can comment on a hypothetical commit. It would likely only result in the reporter getting his credentials pulled for any more clempsun press stuff, however. Asking questions that dabo did not ask you to ask is strictly prohibited up there.
