Question about our recruiting of pitchers?

TCU had a lefty that was a 1st round pick and turned down, i think, 4M from the Yankees to go to school. He pitched in the 2010 NCAA tourney.

I think Al was just encouraging discussion and not being abrasive. You might want to take note.

I like Al, but he does like to stir the pot sometimes, and call into question our coaches recruiting ability whenever the opportunity arrises. It's OK, I was more referring to the onslaught he was likely to bring by making the comment. I have no problem with Al.

Ridiculous that OP asks an interesting question about the team, and clearly states multiple times that it is not a knock on the team as is whatsoever, but instead a genuine curiosity about why our roster make-up is what it is.

And the thread STILL gets hit up with a bunch of snark about trusting the coaches yada yada yada. Will y'all please get off that high horse and allow us to have some level-headed, non-confrontational conversation around here?

Amen. I did everything possible to frame the question about a lack of power arms in a way that did not insinuate I was questioning the coaches or the talent on our staff and it went right over the heads of most of the posters on this thread. It was just something I have genuinely wondered about after being in Omaha for a week watching all the teams and their staffs.

This isn't Tigernet. I would hope that people could react in a more rational manner when being posed with a question about the makeup of our team. Or you could choose not to respond at all because you have no clue. That's also out of the question for many posters. Sometimes you can't win.

Posting on every thread seems mandatory for some posters. Maybe they should rethink that practice.
