Who is the idiot who wrote that mess?

First of all, that conversation begins and ends with one name, now and forever. Second if you are going to even attempt to place someone ahead of that one name, it damn well better be someone who has coached a game against an SEC defense.

    Rating SEC offensive coordinators

The SEC might have made its reputation with fast, bruising defenses, but the league has some outstanding offenses. Today, Gator Bait rates the SEC offensive coordinators.

Franz Beard wrote it, who is a big fan of Spurrier.

He's 3rd on the list anyway and ahead of offenses that performed better than us.

Do you even remember what happened with our offense last season?

He means Les Koenning, the highly un-memorable and vestigial "offensive coordinator at MSU under Mullen.

You mean the offense that survived a QB meltdown, a season-ending injury to a Heisman level RB and a starting LT, installed a new QB and freshman RB, yet still finished ranked in the top half of the league in offense (#5 overall, #3 rushing, #7 passing) and won 11 games for the first time ever? Yeah, that OC sucks balls.

Your mad-on for Spurrier just got stuck in a light socket.

Please point out anywhere in my post that said our OC (who could be any of 4 people depending on the point you want to make) sucks balls.

Also, anything I said that was inaccurate.

    TIA.

"Do you even remember what happened with our offense last season?"

So this was meant to be complimentary to Spurrier?

I'm glad to see you've adopted the MrBiGal line of defense by questioning. Feel free to point out any inaccuracies in my post, as well.

  • It's notable that the 2 guys he has ahead of Spurrier are the only 2 that hasn't had to face SEC defenses before. Lets see where they stack up after this year.

I'm not letting you turn another thread into a pissing match over a single sentence in which you don't like what you think I might have been saying.

If you want to make a thread on the timeline of our offense last year and why then go for it.

As far as BigAl and inaccuracies of your post, only one of us said the OC sucks.

Yep they scored more points than 11 other teams for the first time in our history.moon

  • 1) I don't consider someone an idiot simply because I disagree with him or her.

    2) I agree that the OCs of the expansion schools shouldn't have been considered. Their offenses have yet to face the best defenses in college football.

    3) I'd put Spurrier at the top. Truth be told, though, there aren't a lot of heavyweight OC's in the SEC.

    Spurrier...I appreciate him plenty

  • You can probably find the answer to your question in the by-line. I'm pretty sure the author put his name on it.

Imma not let u? No thanks, Kanye.

Why don't you explain what you meant by "Do you even remember what happened with our offense last season?", then? Was it a compliment? Am I being obtuse? Or are you, yet again, taking a shot at Spurrier?

BTW, it's not just me, but many folks who know more and get paid more to talk about college football think 2011 was Spurrier's best coaching job ever:

(ON STEVE SPURRIER’S COACHING JOB THIS SEASON):
Tony Barnhart: Steve Spurrier this season has done one of his best coaching jobs ever. They won this weekend over the Florida Gators. They’re probably not going to get to the SEC Championship game, but if they win their last two games, they’re going to finish 10-2. They’ve beaten everyone in the SEC East, they beat Florida, Tennessee and Georgia, their three big rivals, for the second year in a row. Particularly when you put in the fact that Stephen Garcia was gone, Marcus Lattimore was lost for the season in mid-October. I believe this is one of Steve Spurrier’s best coaching jobs.

Thank you for pointing that out. My degree in journalism hasn't done me enough good to find a by-line. Perhaps, I was asking who the inferred idiot was?
