  • Abo most likely learned from James that his brother is solid and cannot be turned, and doesn't want a spy in the camp....so now he can make it look like clemson doesn't want him rather than being turned down.

    not the same, they came here, and most stayed for a while and moved on to jobs they thought were the next step. kindof like south carolina sends players to the nfl, clemson too. you just asked a question, i provided an answer. maybe they don't want to play for a blowhard, and an offensive coordinator with more yrs on his contract than the head coach. maybe they wanted to play in a more ball control offense, and not be in so many shootouts, who knows? I cant speak for the numerous running backs that don't want to play at clempson, maybe you could ask them.

  • Our RBs playing in the ACC would top those yards, and Latt went down with several games to go. If attractive means you can get a good amount of yards playing against weak ACC defenses, then yes I guess playing RB for Clemson would be attractive. Woo hoo. Now watch me get drilled in big games (note ACC championship is not a "big game") and the go busy in the pros. Yay!!!

    I'm not going to get into you about Decent Defense because it's too hard to tell. 5 SEC teams were in the Top 10 in total defense in the nation, and 6 in the Top 25, but the Total Offfense numbers for the league were horrible.

    So is it the poor offense or incredible D or vice versa? No doubt the best front 7's in the nation play in the SEC...but the B12 has 4 or 5 guys that would start at any team in the SEC at QB. I think Wilson might get at look in the league, and Bray at Tenn has a chance.

    Compare that to the Big12/Pac10 where multiple QB's in those leagues will be starters in the NFL down the road.

    But to your specific point....Clemson played 4 games against teams ranked in the top 10 in total D. I don't think the numbers look as bad as you made them out.

    23 for 71…td
    23 for 87….2td
    16 for 85
    23 for 136…td

    And Clemson was 3-1 in those games with the loss being to yall.

    Remember we are in the highest rated power conference, this year the acc was seventh even being beat by the mwc. Plus carolina didnt have an extra game, and a gimme at that va tech.
