Tanner will likely try to downplay any efforts to recognize him in the near future. I would offer that there is plenty of time for such recognition but I bet he'll try to fast-track the victory tower he tried so hard to get at the stadium.

No, I won't sign a petition to name it "Tanner's Battlefield" because that is a terrible name. I would sign off for naming it Ray Tanner Field at Carolina Stadium.

well pick another one and come up with a better idea than just saying oh thats horrible. At least Mike honcho disagreed and provided an alternative. thanks Mike and I up voted you. I think a nod to battlefield would be for the kids as well which is why it was included. I like Tanner Field at Carolina Stadium and Ray Tanner Field at Carolina Stadium as well. it is not that I think Tanner would do it on his own initiative but a push by fans to recognize Tanner's efforts for our school would be a step in that direction.

I like that too. I looked at renderings of the proposed Victory Tower and it looks pretty good.

Tanner Park will work.

Football is played in a stadium.

But if Ray really wants to do his job, he will find a sponsor. CSC Park etc. Something Hyman failed to do.
