Replay is a waste of time

the people in the replay booth are blind, ignorant of the rules, incompetent or all three. They are making as many or more mistakes with the benefit of slow motion and multiple angles as the idiots on the field. Might as well get rid of it and quit wasting time.

Also interesting how the "name" teams usually seem to get the benefit of the bad calls. Total bs.

What they really need, IMO, is an actual system of accountability. Have independent (non-associated with the officiating staff) review of whole games that have the end result possibly ending in termination if enough egregious errors are found. As things stand now it seems like it is some sort of brotherhood of officiating (particularly in the SEC) that always have each others' back is in charge. They never admit failure and there is currently no accountability for the field or the booth. In order to ensure some degree of equity in games, that has to change. Else we will always see the ridiculous no-call holds, the phantom interferences, etc., all associated with the currently subjective and grossly unfair methods of officiating we have now.

The fumble replay was as obvious as any replay besides the Syracuse field goal this year and they got it WAY WRONG. Does anybody know if there is a ref meeting at half time of games where they go over what they are doing right and wrong because it doesn't seem like they ever get better in a game. It is like they stick to whatever they are calling no matter what.

As long as you have guys in the booth that are part of a conference crew they will tend to cover for their buddy. I think that is as much of the issue as anything.

It is as unpredictable as ever. Speaking of replay, the Fox infrared baseball camera is awesome. Maybe one day baseball will get its head out of its arse.

I believe the conferences dictate to each crew how they want games called, its now money not competition, underdog must overcome the other team and officials. Ex: Alabama /no holding calls

come on guys - are we now adding in the replay crews to the list of 127 entities/organizations/individuals who are plotting/working against us and the rest of the little guys? and now the replay crews are being "coached" by conference officials to insure desired outcomes!!! where do you get this stuff from?

You think the SEC has no say in the way they call games you must not watch the SEC, just compare last yr. to 2011. My post did not say we were the little guys, just officiating in general.
