We did discuss the old days when I and others camped out at Capital Newstand each Monday waiting for Kornblut's report and each Weds or Thursday depending on your mail for S&F. They recognize that their info is way outdated bc of the almost on-demand nature of the internet sites. I asked him what they were doing to stay relevant and that's when he offered the bit about teaming up with Shoe.

I of course may be wrong....Dabo takes every occasion to poop on Spurrier on recruiting trail (he is catching pure heck from Tillman faithful about losing to us). I am convinced...even if Clemson doesn't get a player, Dabo is making efforts to make sure Gamecocks don't get 'em (it is rumored Dabo has negatively recruited us with '13 OL N Rogers from Maryland who has never been a serious Clemson recruit). I believe Kornblut has lost respect for Dabo a while back and gave SOS a chance to rebut this insinuation (being soft on disciplne) that likely to become a talking pt with Dabo propaganda. It is not unthinkable...Dabo has lost all rational thought when it comes to his obsession with South Carolina...that IS a fact!.

The worst writer to have to listen to in the interviews is Scott Hood. In fairness, the guy's never written a negative word about USC (although some of his stuff is complete homerism), but, man, his demeanor/delivery is so grating.

It's called a Boston accent. Scott's a really good guy, actually.
