Rick Majerus

  • Is as good of a x and o coach as anyone. His teams know how to go inside, and score inside. Remember his teams at Utah, with Keith Van Horn? Talk about a good college player. Kind of like Laettner: just too big and athletic for college kids to deal with.

Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.

  • I have no problem with him, in fact that would be a good hire
but we might have to widen the sidelines

    USCManager

  • would prefer him over anyone mentioned so far

  • Majerus is 64. Too old.

    Spurrier...I appreciate him plenty

    MrBigAl

  • I've never seen a coach keep his mouth open for 40 straight game minutes. He must catch a helluva lot of flies.

  • A*HOLE COACH DIGEST: Special Rick Majerus Edition

There are asshole coaches, and then there is Rick Majerus, the St. Louis head basketball coach, who is legendary for his humor, his size, his crassness and, of course, for starring in Just The Ten Of Us.

Everytime an NCAA tournament game ends, you start a thread on hiring the coach from there. And theres always at least one poster to say "Amen" to you. Get a dog. Take up tennis. Put your head in an oven. Watch NASCAR. Just stop.

Majerus is close to 65, has severe health problems and shall I say, "personal quirks."

He's done wonderful jobs at three schools, is a fine coach and an interesting and nice guy. But no same person considers him a candidate for our job.

Did I say anything about us hiring him?

Where did the OP say anything about us hiring him? Just put him on ignore, it's really not that hard. Would've taken less effort than it did for you to type out your response to him.

He didn't but he does watch the game, then just repeat whatever the announcers say.

Yes, but you can't attack a poster unless you read his posts.

    Spurrier...I appreciate him plenty

Steve grates on me and on many others. But I like him as a poster and he knows that. Why don't you worry about world peace?

I'd rather not. World peace is a little out of my control. There have just been a lot of posts lately telling him to shut up and quit posting and its getting old. He posts within the rules of the board and has every right to do so. What you think of him as a poster doesn't concern me at all btw. I'm sorry if I came across wrong in my previous post. It was not my intent to be confrontational.

The reason people are getting upset is because he posts so much it's clogging up the board. If the boards are here for conversion hes the person that talks so much no one else can get a word in.

Poor, poor "people.". Even with the "ignore" function they aren't able to get a word in?

Ignore just means you don't see the post but it doesn't give back the space taken up on the first page by all the threads started.

Good point, especially when it's so difficult to access page 2 of the board.
