Wow.......dreams may really come true. If the four conferences do align, we are witnessing the beginning of the end of Clemson football. Yes! This is truly big, IF it happens.

I'm a COLLEGE tootball fan first and a conference football fan second. I dont have the hate for Clem that some here do and certainly not the hate that a whole bunch of the nuts up there have for USC but CF has been following the money path for 30+ years and it just gains steam the furher we go. Leave the playoff crap to the pros and stick totally to bowls. True in this instance with the SEC/B12 Bowl things are controllable for the average fan who travels. (It's) even reasonable for the FourTeam playoff, however it gives TV an even tighter choke-hold on the sport we all love.

All that considered and among the choices apparently offered I would go with the Top 4 teams by some formula to be determined. We have a good track record of what works and what doesnt. Seem more obvious to rate teams than to rate conferences and certainly better than to select 4 permanent conferences of 16. That seems destructive to the game to me. I've been thinking about taking the couch rather than the trip for awhile now and some among ny GC friends have shared the same...TheBig Money aspect has a lot to do with this. Yes, the BIg Change may come but I think it will be destructive in the long run.
