If the SEC were a country, the 56 medals our athletes won would rank 5th among all nations. Very impressive showing. Conference superiority personified. I guess the ACC can claim the men's basketball coach. But, hell, with that talent, I could have coached them to a gold medal.

The SEC was in 3rd early on. However, these are the updated totals as posted today by the SID at MSU, Kyle Niblett, who has been tracking this. Got this info off Twitter, so you know it is accurate.
