Already home to many of the nation's best financed college athletics programs, the Southeastern Conference likely is about two years from distributing at least $10 million -- and perhaps as much as $14 million

"Money is ruining college football" - says the fanbase with the highest paid coordinators in the country
The SEC needs a 16 team super league disconnected from the NCAA, we run football, we run baseball, and contrary to popular belief, we are top dogs in basketball too. It just makes too much sense.
This is not The Syvelle Newton, just his number one fan!
Can we cut back on PSL fees or something with that kind of money? It'd be nice to have more sellouts. I know technology has changed the sports world upside down with HD TV's and all, but I still hate seeing those empty seats for some conference games regardless who we play.
I like that I keep reading that the tv deal should be worth more than what slive signed and that there is an expectation that will be increased, but I'm still not sure that is what will happen.
If espn stuck to guns, then additional revenue would be limited to sec network and other things like the champions bowl.
If the 34 million materializes soon, USC should really be flush with welcome cash.
I doubt it because I doubt our inconference competition will do it. I think the seats that are going unsold have extremely small psls anyway.
Great article on FSU Rivals site about the ACC's lower revenues. They feel it is hard to compete in the long term. They discuss doing away with equal distribution of revenues to reward better programs as a solution. The article makes it pretty clear that they would love to get out if it was the right fit
I think they underestimate the value of the SEC Network.
