    That has absolutley nothing to do with what I said.

    Since you bring it up, Wilds got beat out by an average player in Miles the last few games btw. And everyone was surprised by Wilds including myself, Tony, JC, and the coaches.

    same reason half the top ten in SC doesn't have offers from us, but do from other BCS teams. IMO offers in state are only for sure takes, in the case of GT I think grades play a huge role in who they offer. UGA can't take them all.

    Not sure the coaches were surprised, at least one assistant wasn't.

    You really think graham offered him and then was like holy crap I thought I was throwing away a scholarship but he might actually be decent?

    Anyone who saw wilds practice knew he had ability.

    The all knowing VBCock has arrived.

    Was he not brought in to be a situational player? A "big back", to be used like Brian Maddox or as a fullback? Do you really think I really think the coaches offer people they think are awful?

    Of course he has ability. He lost some weight, gained some speed, and once 2 or 3 people ahead of him got hurt he got his chance to show it off, had a couple of good games, and then was beat out by Kenny Miles the rest of the year.

  • There are as many examples of crappy four stars as there are great two and three stars. Plus, the guy's senior year of high school hasn't even started. At this time of his senior year of high school, Melvin Ingram was a two star and he ended up a four star. We have numerous commits in the last few years who have gotten a bump after camps/senior seasons.

    I'm down with Jasper. Hope he's as good a kid as he seems to be.

    i named all the people who were listed as four stars on the best team in our history. i dont see how star rankings for our team this year brings validity to your point bc the season hasnt finished yet.

    ace was rated correctly as a 5.7 three star. he has all the skills but lacks the size. allen was a 3 out of hs, but a four out of prep, vic hamptons was a stud, his issues had to do with grades. you can sit here and tell me a guy like brison williams was a two star coming out of high school to make yourself feel right, but then i can just click on rivals and see he was a high 3 out of hs and a four star coming out of prep.

    and even if you take out the guys who were labeled different rankings on different site you still have 14 players who were 4 stars. that is over half of our starters.

    at usc we will always need to rely on great evals by the staff and on three star commits to reach their full potential, but there is a direct correlation between signing more four and five stars, and success. our 2010 season, which in my opinion was our best team recently, was even more heavily dependent on four stars.

    i know you will say rivals isnt a good source on judging talent, but considering who they have rated as fours and high threes, it seems as though they were correct.

    I am a huge Ace fan. I think he definitely was a 4*. No doubt our recruting has improved. With Brison and Antonio, everyone gains a star out of prep, but anyways. From THIS SITE, Brison and Ace are 3* WHEN THEY SIGNED. Rory Anderson is a 3, Corey Robinson, who everyone freaked out when we signed, but now love him, was a 2*. There are a lot of 2 and 3's that are going to contribute the next couple of years, if you look at the last couple of classes, on this site. We have 3* guys that contribute, and always will. More than half of our contributors will be 3*, because you have to count special teamers and backups. USC will live on 3* recruits until we win a couple of MNC, or half of Fla and Ga move here.

    We are going to have to get used to 3* recruits, because half of our class will be that type, always.
