Serious question for the "playcalling is the problem" folks

with an arm good enough to keep the running game open.

    Not anymore

  • true. but i cant blame that on him. 5 yrs of spurrier trying to force you to be something your not would do that to anyones confidence.

Read Tony's post. He questions the game plan (play calling). Get over it people

I am over it. Posted this thread yesterday and it keeps getting bumped

My original point was that there were no magic plays to be called to make Garcia a more accurate passer.

Sure the plan can be tweaked and it should...but the MAJOR problem is lack of production at QB.

Still think the "plays" would look a lot better if our QB could hit open receivers. That was my point.

    Naturally, it's never him.

  • please dont misunderstand garcia has the IQ of a rock, and he makes the most ignorant decisions i have ever seen and i am not a member of team garcia by anymeans. however i think that is because he is running an offense that is too complicated for him and he doesnt have the skills required to run that kind of offense. but it is the coaches responsibility to make the necessary adjustments to give SG the oppourtunity to be successful and that is why i blame spurrier more that SG. It would be like hiring a plumber to wire your house he has the skills to contribute to your project but that doesnt mean he can do it all.

I am not a person who comments on play calls, but I was very surprised when there are five minutes left in the game and we started running with success, that we stopped and started trying to throw the ball. I wanted us to pound the ball and run off as much of the clock as possible and give our D a rest. I think it would have changed the end of the game. Lattimore has made his reputation on getting stronger as the game goes on. 17 carries? not enough

Best post since the game ended.. I was SCREAMING the exact same thing.... If we do what you just said we are 5-0 and getting ready for Joker to come to town..
