Wilds is a RB
I remember him saying last year " I'm a RB and I'm proving it "
IMO Miles is a great kid and I'm glad he stayed . You can never have to man great kids like Kenny Miles who aren't flashy but get the job done. However he isn't more talented than Miles
Carson hasn't really proved a thing yet . He looks good and is a change of pace . Still has he proved it playing Florida?
Davis is more talented than all of them... But wheres his head at? Is he dedicated? I'm not cracking on his character I just simply have no idea and that's a big deal.
Lattimote has to come back and be the same player. I think he will just saying
Wilds is important to this team at RB

I think IF he is going to be 3rd string or lower and doesn't want to redshirt then he should get a look at fullback. Not knocking what he did last year. However given his size and ability the offense could be better having a fullback that can run the ball, catch it out of the backfield, and have to be accounted for as a weapon by the defense. It would open things up with our unproven receivers. You know teams are going to stack the box and focus on Marcus and shaw.

He cant really improve his speed or cutting ability, which are good but not great. he can get bigger, but how much? 10-15 pounds are so until he starts losing the speed and cutting ability?
Please dont go crazy with this and act like im saying he's not good. he obviously is. just saying the things players usually improve on during their college careers like being football savvy, being comfortable on the field, comfortable with the plays and assignments, pass catching skills, and having a physical, tough attitude, he's already got in spades.

he should be willing to do whatever is best for the team. he proved he was a good filler. his speed was not impressive and he looked scared at times and shy'd away from hits. if he wants to see the field this season, baring some freak injuries again, i would think fullback would be perfect for him until he can develop more. or use the redshirt. not saying he's a bad back at all but i just saw things in him last season that could prevent him from being able to compete for a spot after marcus leaves. i think at full back it would allow us to expand the use of the position. Triple option anyone? conner's prother ran it to perfection, I'm sure he knows a thin or 2 about it.

I must have been watching different games than you. Running backs try to get away from defenders, they don't try to get hit. If putting moves on defenders qualifies as shying away from hits, then Marcus would be guilty as well. I also never saw him scared. Maybe I was interpreting things wrong, I did not see that.
I think you will see Clowney at QB before we run the triple option. I see your thinking there, but Shaw's talents are in throwing the ball, and running to keep the defense panicking.

Should Brandon Wilds get a look at full back?
