I don't know why Rolin has decided to switch to UF, nor am I going to spend a lot of time and energy focusing on 18 year olds changing their minds. I do wish he would remain part of our class, but I'm not going to blame our coaches at this point and we still have some excellent kids out there that we can close with.
The one thing I don't understand as far as recruiting at Carolina, and this goes back years and years is how we essentially have more recruits who are "Gamecocks" in the sense they talk about how they grew up Carolina fans and what not, but then either don't even think about coming here at all, go to an SEC East/Clemson or other school competing with us, or do what Rolin did and commit to us before flipping on us.
I just don't get it. I grew up a Carolina Gamecock and I'll die one. As a fan and football player/high school athlete had I ever been offered the opportunity to wear garnet and black in any sport I would have been ecstatic and I would've been all for, in the fold, and immediately recruiting to help my university. I felt this way since I was big enough to go to games in Columbia. I don't know, maybe these so called "Gamecocks" just watched us growing up and so forth and the passion wasn't really there for them.
