The comment about Bryant having a kid and wanting to stay close would have to be the only reason he commits to the 'Canes: family. No other reason to play there unless it's home. Because there is no way The U has seen an atmosphere like we had Saturday, since Jimmy Johnson's days. Hell, even then the hype and atmosphere for any individual game wasn't what it is today (no Gameday and endless television coverage on ESPNU and everything else throughout the week before and after). When you saw he was coming to this game, did anyone think it would wind up being anything other than a surreal experience for a Canes fan?
As to Langley, someone on these boards has already posted the belief that if he doesn't want to come here after Saturday, so be it. I second that. No way we could possibly sell the program any better than what went down this weekend.
Which brings me to a point I have not seen any Dawg fans making: As bad as the loss was Saturday, it's bigger than just one game. There were some big time recruits at that game and a lot more watching it on tv. Spurrier and the Gamecocks have spent the last 5 years coming in to Georgia and leaving with big time recruits. Davis this past year a good example. Now, on top of that, Richt gets his ass handed to him in the biggest game on "Separation Saturday." Put all the crap about being 0-10 in last 10 games versus ranked teams aside. The team that has become your biggest rival for the SEC East crown the past two years has now whipped you 3 years in a row and every recruit in your state is watching. That alone ought to have the GA trustees talking exit strategy on Richt...
