With Ace at slot why not put Ellington at one of the other positions instead of sitting on the bench behind Ace?

Yeah and I have been at almost every spring practice and from what I saw he looks pretty good. He a lot faster than I expected and he gets open pretty easily although he can have a case of the butter fingers at times he looks to have A LOT of potential.

Not really. WR talent is a major concern. QB depth. DB depth. Interior DL. Punter and PK. We have a lot of talent. We lose a lot of elit talent though. And our WR situation is a big question mark that has to be answered. To say we are a loaded football team is a major stretch IMHO.

Because DL needs to be on the field.

He has been called by Steve and Jr the best blocking WR on the team since he got here, even when Gurley was on the team. He is 6'4" and has made some big plays for us in the past. I don't have a problem with him starting at all. It might just mean that Shaq/Shameire have not grasped the offense well enough to start, which would be a little disappointing, yes, but it wouldn't mean we're in trouble. I think if Deagelo starts then we are in trouble, but not DL.

You need to take a deep breath and step away from the keyboard.

Being able to block is something all receivers need to do, but when describing reasons that a receiver should start I don't think it should be what you lead in with. At the end of the day they need to be able to get open and catch. Ellington does that better than him.

I guess we'll find out come December....
