Spurrier: Lattimore has surgery

Marcus Lattimore underwent surgery in Birmingham on Friday to the knee he injured Oct. 27, and is now resting comfortably at his home, according to Steve Spurrier.

Do we know who performed the surgery? Birmingham jumps out as the home of the famed Dr. James Andrews.

You are correct about Andrews practicing here. If my source was correct, then there was a trio in the OR, Guy, Andrews, and McBride.
It could be a few days before I am able to get a definite answer though.

I think that's the common belief, but I don't think it's been confirmed.

Wonder if that was Dr Angus McBride that was at MUSC? If so he fixed my ankle about 15 years ago.

If he was Carolina's team doctor prior to Andrews? Then, yes the same one. I know the sequence of team docs went McBride, Andrews, and now Guy. I also learned that McBride helped Andrews early in his practice. I just don't know what McBride's first name is.

No, Dr. Andrews is so good. Marcus jogged back to Columbia.
Don't get mad maw, just kidding. I actually wondered the same thing. I figured he might stay there for a week or two so that the MD's could follow up with him during that time. Hopefully, that's a sign that everything went really well.
BTW, welcome to the board. If you're a USC sports (especially football) junkie, you're at the perfect site.
