Both bad, but the early game takes the cake becasue of the sheer quantity of bad "commercials" that are done by the three stooges. FWIW Tommy Moody is great as a color guy on the baseball broadcasts but when the 5th inning rolls around and he has play-by-play its pretty white bread. He is very sharp on stats, just not on-air persona.
Little hand says it's time to rock and roll.

Jay Phillips is the worst. He always tries to create controversy or make a story out of nothing. He goes on and on about nothing. His interviews suck!

The last straw for me was last Friday. I don't usually listen, but since it was the first day of the baseball season, I assumed they'd be talking about baseball and VMI.
Nope.
I flipped it on and Benji was interviewing Roy Philpot. Immediately turned it off.
What's the point in having a flagship Gamecock station if I have to listen to taters like that all the time?
I could stand the terrible commercials and general jackassery in the morning if they just talked about Gamecock stuff.

The early game by far is worse. I could listen to homers everyday if its only for an hour. But Norton and Shields have no clue what they are talking about. Shields is always against USC in any type of controversy. IE Spurrier vs. Morris. He took Morris's side. Norton is never right on anything. But the day I stopped listening was February 9th. Duke had just beaten UNC the night before. I love Duke basketball so as I got in the car I was expecting talk of that game. Moody was reading the scores and said "North Carolina over Duke 85 to 84." And then no one corrected him.

The early game is far and away the worst sports talk radio show I have ever heard. I can't listen to it. Teddy and Rick on 560 aren't great but that are a far sight better than that garbage on 107.5. I don't have a problem with them having a Clemson fan as a host- the problem is Benji knows nothing about sports. He's painfully ignorant. They would be better off letting him run the boards and bring the guy who does that now into the studio.
