I get what you're saying, and I agree with you. It never hurts to advertise/promote your product.
I think the OP is on to something although we might disagree on how to do it. I recall Legend Meyer saying one of the first things he did at UF was "branding" by making sure everything was the same color orange/blue. We have a hundred different shades of Garnet, fix it. He also changed the tarps on the field to blue/orange, he wanted everything kids saw of tv to be orange/blue, get rid of the white, black or green tarps and put down garnet/black, w/ a big ole Gamecock in the center of it. What is our symbol ? A gamecock, block C, or interlocking SC ? Pick one and use it all the time, everywhere. Branding is about recognition, it starts with uniformity and we fail miserably in that regard. A few weeks ago, I was getting ready to go to wofford game and my son asked me how many shades of garnet I was going to wear. My closet is full of different shades of garnet. Do the little things first and then work on these bigger projects but we haven't even done the little things right.
