The Tater excuse for getting their butts whipped is now emerging

  • They were "banged up." Obviously, we were at FULL strength and healthy when we played them and they weren't. baby

  • Well lets see 5th year starter at QB - gone ; Top RB in the nation - gone ; Best OL and LT - gone ; Best WR - broken hand in first half. THATS FULL STRENGTH BABY!!

And then they took some miracle drug and got healed up in a week?

I love being the dominant team in the series and watching the other side come up with excuses 365 days a year.

I guess their basketball team was not feeling well either.

We have a receiver with a broken hand making downfield blocks and catching a TD pass late in the game.

They have a receiver with a sore shoulder scared to make a play on the first pass of the game.

We are the tougher team. We are the better team.

  • excuses, then it just shows how they have no depth because if they lost Boyd, Price and Watkins most the season they'd win 3 games, unlike us who lost so much but found ways to win. Hell we could easily say if we had Shaw playing like he was at the end the whole season (played whole season) we'd be 11-1 at the worst. I'm excited for next season with Lattimore coming back and new freshmen (roland etc)

  • Laughable. So by this reasoning if Latti and Kyle were healthy we would have hung half a hundred on them, right Clemtech fans?

And they wonder why they get beat by a physical football team. They're a bunch of cream puffs over there. Tajh was quoted as saying something like "You can't give 100% if you're not 100%". That's a loser's mentality. Of course you can still give 100% if you're hurt...See Melvin Ingram chasing down the KY QB at the end of the first half after his foot injury. So he's basically saying that his sprained hooha prevented him from giving 100% for his team?

  • Laughable to think that we endured an SEC schedule and had far more injuries and guys not even on the field but these losers are using THAT as their excuse? Let me guess, after playing that mindboggling gauntlet of Georgia Tech, Wake Forest and NC State, Clemson was just soooo beat up they couldn't compete. But in SEVEN days they were all better. No more hangnails. No more sore feet. No more migranes. All better now?
Spare me. You got your asses handed to you because you're inferior in every way. Deal with it.

Doesn't Clemson know there's no crying in football........or is it basketball...............or wait is that baseball. I can't tell since they've cried in all three throughout the year. What are they going to say if that really mobile WV QB runs roughshod all over their now healthy defense in the Orange Bowl.

    Crybabies!

  • What a crock...just more of the same old casp. They just can not deal with the fact that we have passed them. I just hope we can keep them in the rear view mirror for a long time.

  • Anybody get to hear the Clemson fan call into 107.5 this morning "just to remind everyone that Clemson DOES have a national championship and the overall lead in the series"? What a joke.

    Danger25

  • I agree with what others are saying but I think people are missing a big point............do the taters realize that we had 3 freshman on the oline the whole second half???

Those 3 freshman....Cann, Patrick and Matuilis....were able to push the senior laden dline of clemson back the whole second half. The only time the taters got any pressure was when they brought the blitz.

When my taters get to yappin....I just point that out and the shut up quickly.

hear that all the time that is all they have left... they can't stand the fact that we have passed them... it eats them completely inside out

  • Plus we had a quite a few guys play hurt at LB and some banged up on DL AND OL.

what they're saying is that the only way they have a chance against us, or any other quality team, is if they're perfectly healthy and their opponent isn't.

Sounds about right. Even if they were all at 100%, i'd like our chances in that game.

Injured Tarzan is still tougher than healthy Jane.

I also don't have time to teach you how to speak hobo.

benji replied to everyone that they will be cashing a 9 million dollar check from the orange bowl.

I guess benji does not realize that when the conferences send out checks to the schools ours will probably be a little larger than the one clemson gets.

They have nothing left but history. The FACT is we are a better program than they are and they are having a hard time dealing with it.

  • "Explosion," quarterback Tajh Boyd answered. "You can't give 100 percent if you're not 100 percent. ... Guys are banged up this season, even the young guys like Charone and Martavis and my linemen. (This break) is just giving us time to heal."

So now they are his linemen.

  • And usually when a team/fans lives in the past the present isn't going so well. Its just great that usc fans finally after years don't have to say wait til next year. I love this. And it kills them all. GO COCKS!

  • News Flash for the taters from taternet

The NCAA is reviewing the involvement of four local college football players, including Clemson University standout Sammy Watkins, in a planned Christmas party at a Southwest Florida restaurant.

The quartet, which included Florida’s Jaylen Watkins, Sammy’s brother, West Virginia’s Brodrick Jenkins and University of South Florida’s Spencer Boyd, were listed as ‘hosts’ on an advertisement for the ‘Naughty or Nice X-Mas Party,’ scheduled for Dec. 23 at The Firepit Grill, located at the Gulf Coast Town Center.

Clemson sports information director Tim Bourret said the school’s compliance office would send a cease-and-desist notice to Price today. “This should have no effect on Sammy Watkins’ eligibility for the Orange Bowl,” Bourret said.

  • 10 years from now, when someone looks up the score of the 2011 game between Carolina and Clemson, there won't be an asterisk beside the score indicating that the poor Tigers were banged up. it'll simply say 34-13.

Head-to-head. No excuses. That goes for the Tigers, too.

    Spurrier...I appreciate him plenty
