We used the pistol several times...just wasn't too effective...as nothing was really working in the middle.
We used the option with success several times in the 2nd half.
And it was the 3 TE package that we used on the 4th down reception by Jerrell Adams on the last TD drive.
I like the 'new' play where Conner rolls out to the right, and throws back to the left. Slick little number, that one.

You're right that speed option did get some good yards, that was ran out of the shotgun right? I've also seen if ran out of the I but mostly near the goal line i think.
LSU was bringing major pressure up the middle all night. Where was the jet sweep? Should have been apparent on the two successful option plays that we could gain yardage on the edges. I have to say I was very disappointed in our Offensive game plan. To make things worse we went away from things that were working.
I love the 3 TE package.
