Justin blackmon still gets his yards and catches, because their offense clicks with running and passing, plus they have 2-3 other receivers which takes away the double teams on blackmon.

Happy with the win---defense played exceptionally well.
When LSU played Tenn who was UT's starting QB?
I know Sims started against Bama--so we are talking oranges to oranges in that case.
If it was Bray vs LSU, then I disagree that we shut UT down better than either of them (LSU or Bama).
Point is that Bray is far better than Sims or Worley.
I thought Sims looked pretty good when he came in last night.
Glad Dooley stuck w/ Worley most of the game.
Beat Arkansas!!!

Steve Spurrier could read the recruiting lists as well as John Hunt. He could see that we enrolled a total of 2 OL in two years in the classes of 2007 and 2008. He could have taken notice that we signed a project (Nick Allison) and two last minute JUCOs (Steve Singleton and, thank God, Rok Watkins) in 2009.
Kinda makes you wonder how connected he is to the recruiting process.
Spurrier...I appreciate him plenty

I blame Spurrier for not doing something about Hunt/OL recruiting sooner than he did. He should have been able to tell after the class of 2006 arrived on campus that Hunt was evaluating poorly and that something had to be done. He did nothing until January, 2009.

It's really tough to see people like Ellington, Byrd and Sanders (and Alshon) on the field and not getting the ball thrown their way. I know Byrd had a case of the drops in his 1st game but certainly there's way to hit him with a screen like they did with Alshon last night. Why burn his redshirt if he isn't going to get more plays designed for him? Maybe he isn't getting open down field, and I know the offensive line has been suspect in pass protection, but get him the ball quickly. Same idea with Bruce. I realize last night was an exception with his hamstring acting up during the week.

Byrd was running free down the field at one point last night...pretty sure its the play they hit Shaws arm on
