Dang, we have had some players who did not put up the best numbers overall, but were clutch in huge situations.
Brady Thomas, Robert Beary, Adrian Morales, to name a few.
Adam Matthews is going to be that guy this year.
Oh, how I miss JBJ.
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.

The thing about the teams the past 3 years... There's not one player that I can honesty say I have no hope with in a clutch situation. That's an amazing feeling. I remember when JBJ got this hit, I got the cops called bc my neighbor thought something was going on. When the cop got there and I told him what happened, he made me rewind it and started celebrating with me.
"I used to walk up a hill to and from school in my days", says every Clemson student ever.

South Carolina Baseball won their second consecutive National Championship in 2011 with an undefeated 10-0 record in the NCAA Tournament. Their 16 consecutive NCAA Tournament wins dating back to last season is an NCAA record. Extra innings drama, amazing double plays, clutch hitting, the magic never seemed to end for the Gamecocks in Omaha. When faced with adversity, they managed to "Win Anyway." Back to Back National Champions!

I was in the hospital that night with a newborn. After Carter gave up the bomb to give them the lead I can remember lamenting to my wife that we were going to lose and that I was going to have another kid who was a Gamecock fan that would have to deal with it.
As an aside, that is truly the last time I doubted the Cocks in any sport; this one game changed my entire perspective.
Anyway, my wife fell asleep only to be awakened by me after we won the game. My (almost) 2 year old has never known us to lose in the post season or end a season without a championship. Hope this continues for her.

Amen to that. My youngest is 3 & a very girly girl but she loves to watch Gamecock baseball with me on the sofa.
She will take in her first Gamecock football game this fall.

Our defense last year might have been the best that has ever graced the city of Omaha; especially Wingo and Mooney. They were unreal!
