So suggesting that the ACC houses a possible national champion in the future shows a lack of class and dignity?

I don't even think the ACC houses an Orange Bowl Champion in the future and that's THEIR conference champs destination every Jan.

  • Somehow I find it hard to downmouth clemson and abo.
Think about it, I could not be happier with abo or clemson right now.
They recruit all of those top ranked 5*s and still struggle in the lowly acc.
    They overpay their coaches.
    They overpay their players.
Ran Tanner never wins a National Title without first beating clemson like a rented mule.
We've dominated them in almost every sport, including our basketball program which prior to Frank accepting our coaching position was ummm...well....atrocious.
And the list goes on and on and on....
Yep, I find to hard to downmouth clemson and abo right now, I'm too busy smiling.

your post implies a criticism of Dabo for that. Out of pure curiosity, what should he do instead, as the head coach of a program in that conference?

Plenty to criticize with Dabo. This is not one of them in my opinion.

Grow a pair and explain to his boss, board and fan base that they are in a bad situation that has a slim and none chance of improving and if they want to remain relevent something will have to change in the ACC or they will have to leave. Unfortunately for you, I think Dabo, the administration and the fan base live in a fantasy world still caught up in what "was" and you really can't see - not was is happening - but what HAS happened. I think you are too late regardless.

Ain't it great....they are in a bad situation and it seems they are so blinded by their pure love of their coach winning the weak acc they don't really know that the bridge is out ahead in the road.

    Yep...still smiling here!

bangheadno, just a lack of rational thinking and being realistic. like thinking they can ever be part of the sec, move to another conference and be more relevant, that recruits wont get in trouble at his school, and ect. have you seen his rant about a team that has kicked his head in 3 years in a row? people wont realize how stupid you are if you dont speak so often.

  • Mickey's not whining. He's pointing out to the Clemson faithful hard facts about which they should be very concerned.

Didn't big al and Woodrow argue that the fitz report saying Cu brought in more money was correct?

No, not me. I'm surprised, given that your panties already bunch up over so many of the comments which I actually post, that you'd start making stuff up.

    Well he's right.

I know!! That's the best part of the article, Clemson is in a desperate situation and other than joining the SEC, I don't know for certain that the right answer is out there. Most moves could lead to a worsen of the situation, doing nothing is definitely not the short term answer. They are grasping at straws currently, I bet they screw and jump to sh!ttier situation. Fun stuff to watch. Thank you SEC
