  • Good job.

I think Kyle Harris will battle for the RG position - as long as he gains enough size

    albany gamecock

  • Agree except:

    LB - Bowens / C. Cooper

    ChuckUSC

  • RG will be btw Harris and Patrick. Nick Jones and KJ Brent will be in the mix at WR. I think Jeridieu will start at DT with Dukes/Green fighting to back him up. I also am curious to see what we do @ LB. I think DJ and Bowens will be our best 2, but Shaq will prob start. DJ may also get some time behind Holloman.

    JamieShaw

  • Gotta think Jerideau makes the 2-deep at DT.

I also don't have time to teach you how to speak hobo.

You and I agree on most of this...I would suggest these changes.
RG- Patrick or Harris Johnson will play all significant snaps so Ford will be the 2nd team center, they will start priming C. Stadnik to be the center of the future.
    DT-Jerideau/Green
I think Royster backs up Swearinger

  • corner depth scary... moving legree back to corner??? Not sure that is a good fit... Would love to see the staff try and move some of the WR's we have to CB.. Maybe, DeAngelo Smith?? Looks like some freshman corners will get a shot at PT... ( Elder, McWilliams, Gurley)

  • I think KJ Brent breaks two deep in recievers. He really impressed me in fall practices this year.

  • I'm scared about QB and CB depth. Pretty comfortable with everything else.

We should be fine... I have us with 8 scholarship safeties and 7 corners:
    Safety-Swearinger,Williams,Royster,Marcus,Golightly,Gurley,Fleetwood and Moody
    Corner-Auguste,Hampton,Christian,Legree,Sanders,Elder and McWilliams

Write it up and send it to me via usps. Could use some toilet paper.

since you put it that way, it doesn't look so grim.. But, that's not a lot of experience at CB.. Hopefully, we can stay away from the injury bug, especially early in the season!

  • Looks good. I do think Ellington goes basketball though.

  • Not sure Matulis will play left tackle. He has some experience but I want to wait and see how Shell looks. If he has the natural ability I've heard he has, he'll be in the running. I wouldn't have wanted him as the starter this year as a true freshman, but after a year under Elliott and Fitz and a season of practicing against Clowney and Ingram coming off the edge, I hope to see him there. I'd like to keep Matulis on the right side where he did such a good job.

Ellington did a great job at WR this past year, but I still think his best position on the FB field is CB

    He will never play there.

Don't know about the Stadnick kid, but I think Cody Waldrop takes over for TJ in 2013.

With Thomas having to go the prep route, we only enroll English as a DE in this class...That puts our scholarship DEs being Clowney, Taylor, Dixon, English, and Sutton...

Of these, I am not sure that English or Dixon will be ready to make an impact. In order to create depth we may need to move a LB down, perhaps Bowens or Simmons, or a DT outside, perhaps Fordham...

We are severly thin at DE...

    JamieShaw

  • I think Fordham will play a good bit as the 4th DE and rotating inside as well. Lawing said Simmions already moved back.

The depth chart at DE next year looks something like this:
    Taylor/Sutton/Harris/English
    Clowney/Fordham/Simmons/Dixon
