USC clinches the all-sports season series over Clemson

  • With the win, USC clinches the all-sports season series over Clemson for the sixth straight year.

  • And it is only going to get better and better. Right now, we bring in 20 mil more a year than Clemson. After the new SEC deal, I would think it would be close to 40-50 Million a year.

  • Nice. If we get our act together in men's basketball there is literally not a sport that we should not consistently beat them in over the next decade.

  • I've lost track, when is the deal to be redone?

Actually, you're quite wrong on that statement. The SEC finished FOURTH in "per school" revenue last year.
    .
    B1G ... $310M divided among 12 schools
    PAC 12 ... $303M divided among 12 schools
    ACC ... $293M divided among 12 schools
    SEC ... $270M divided among 14 schools
    .
All of the above mentioned conferences have signed new tv deals in the last two years except the SEC which is expected to renegotiate at some time this year which is expected to put them on the top of the heap.
    .
All of this according to Forbes.... easy to find.

Believe acc deal is backend loaded so that their per team payout continues to be smaller than for sec teams next couple of years. So they will stay behind in per team TV payouts.

Look at the tax returns. They brought in about 61 mIllion in Revenue in their athletic budget. We brought in 80.5 Million. That comes from ticket sales to TV revenue to Ads. You name it, it is in there.

  • Here you go from a Clemson website. The first shows Clemson has revenue of 61.1 Million and we have revenue of 83.7 Million (I was off a little bit). They are getting left behind bc also the school is raiding their money like Miami has done.
