I'm with you on this one! He may be the answer, but I'd rather go after Stallings! I can't imagine the success he could have here after what he's done at Vandy...

Who are their quality wins? I know I saw they had 2 top 50 wins and even lost to Bama.

Yeah, especially considering the top-NBA talent a program like WSU attracts. I think basing a coaching decision after watching a half of a game is purdy smart. Didn't ya'll crucify Hyman for Hiring Horn for a couple of tourney wins?

We could do MUCH better than Greg Marshall.
I mean, why hasn't the TBS staff said anything about us considering Phil Jackson or Larry Brown? Completely disappointing....

I'm a Marshall fan. I haven't been impressed so far, and have noticed he's usually 1 and done in the NCAAs. That aside it never amazes me how quick some on this board are to react negatively to things.

I'm completely neutral on the Marshall thing, but to make up your mind based on watching one game is ridiculous. He has had a very successful career, mostly with inferior talent to the teams that usually win NCAA Tournament games. I'd say tonight his opponent has comparable talent, so maybe he deserves a little grief if his guys lose, but don't fall in the trap of judging him on 40 minutes.

Sorry, WSU is making a comeback but I have to admit that I think Marshall has been out coached by Smart so far. With so many Srs I thought this would be over by now. Smart is the real deal and needs to be in the SEC

I'm also neutral on Marshall. I would love to have him but we do need to conduct a national search and if he's the right fit then hire him.
I also think it's funny how his fan club get very defensive if you mention another candidate.

Don't be ridiculous. Jackson has never coached in college. However, I don't think Hyman is doing his job unless we make him an offer. Larry Brown is too old IMO.

I mean really, he is a great coach and that is the best play they can get off at the end of the game. Some people are only meant to coach at a certain level.

It doesn't matter. Hyman doesn't even like him so he would have had to run to the Sweet Sixteen to push himself to the top of the list. Greg Marshall isn't going to be our next coach, some people are just going to have to deal with it.
