why?

they played well last year in several games. should have beat ark. and fumbled. had a last second chance to beat georgia, and played fla. tough . they didnt play well against us but changed qbs in the game and brought in rodgers.

Vandy's gonna be jacked up for that game, for sure. They're nowhere near us in talent, but we better show up ready to play.

The fact remains...we still have to learn how to put teams away. We seem to let lesser teams stay in the game too long. Our depth should give us the win in the second half though. Vandy will have the problem we used to have...talent good enough to stay in the game until half time, but without depth, they will wear out in the second half.

Barring injuries or turnovers, this is a game we should win....but...that is why we play the games. I expect the game to be a bit too close for comfort until late in the 3rd, or early 4th quarter. I hope I am very, very wrong and this game is over after the 1st quarter, or at least by half time. We have the talent...can the coaches coach us up to believe we can cut their throats early?

For those that think games versus these type teams boils down to talent, count the "stars" of the players on the Navy squad that took USC to the wire at WB last year. We had more stars on the bench than Navy had on the field. Same with Vandy, smart, tough kids and it is always a war. Regardless of all the bravado others spill out, when do we ever blow Vandy out?

Hate hearing how "jacked" up they will be...terrible argument. That does you good for the first play until you get hit in the mouth.

Additionally, its our first effing game as well, so wouldnt you think we will be just as "jacked"?
