  • I've never tried it, but I'd love to hear what you have to say about it when you get it installed.

  • i am going to call www.syntheticturfstore.com today to ask about their STP-36 putting green material. They are the manufacture and will sell direct. I have been wanting to put one in for years but now have the $$$$$ to do it.

  • a 15 x 25 STP-36 costs $975 if you call 1-770-605-4977 (Jason). (note:all material will be 15ft wide. a 15 x 30 was $1175, so I'm gonna stick with 25 footer). On ebay the 15 x 25 lists for $1299. Installation-cut 1-2" of dirt out, put down crushed run gravel, pack it down, and put the material down. Cut the holes out prior to laying it down by tracing the cup on the back of the material.

I will be ordering one and installing it next week if anyone wants to come and help. I will provide the beer and all the range balls you can putt after the work is done, ofcourse.

I think you need to look up Mike Brady...he's an architect and was way ahead of the curve on this.

    The inventor of k2

I found out that the active ingreediant in k2 and spice is JWH-018. and JWH stands for John W. Huffman.. whos the inventor of the synthetic THC compound.. so i decided to throw him an email and see what he said. Dear Dr. Huffman, i was doing some research about the JWH series of compounds that effect the CB receptors. I came across a wikipedia article that mentioned your name and i am very interested in knowing more information about these chemicals because they are so similar to the effects of THC and the internet has limited information about synthetics such as JWH. write me back if you can because this kind of stuff really interests me. Holla back, *****. so then he said... Thank you for your interest in my research. Requests for interviews have become too numerous in recent weeks for me to respond to them all. I hope this written summary will answer your questions. The intense interest, of course, is a result of the appearance of so-called products sold under names such as K2 and Spice.

  • I have a putting green and I recently put a indoor hitting area in my garage. George Bryan has the best selection and highest quality synthetic turf in town. George got big into the turf business once he built his own training facility for his students to use. You can google George Bryan golf and give them a call. He will let you come up to his training facility and try out several styles and sizes. It is definitely worth getting the best quality and they don't cost much more than the cheap stuff you can get at Dick's or Edwin Watts.

  • I understand you don't have to cut or water it as often.

  • I have looked into it and might be close to pulling the trigger. This company was helpful for design as the owner will call you himself.

Also, here is a pretty cool post on a golfing forum about a guy doing the same thing. It is a long post but fun.
