Wearing a jersey while you watch a football game is like....

I have never understood why people take issue with wearing jerseys to a game. To me, wearing a polo is okay; however, when you toss in shorts and a pair of pennyloafers you look a bit too overdressed. At the end of the day, it's about what you feel good in and not what someone else thinks.

some people just have no sense of humor - especially those jersey wearing fans at the 49's v. raiders game a couple of weeks ago. it's hard to tell but i think some of them were wearing shorts.

I like to dress up like a Storm Trooper and watch the Star Wars marathon FWIW.

What, are we recycling old thread topics? Could have sworn this has already been hashed and rehashed.......by the same guy. Personally, I wear a jersey because my 8 year old son wants us to. I care what he thinks....not so much what others on an internet forum think. Just saying..........

Don't own jerseys. Don't wear 'em. Not my style, but the idea that it's immature isn't an argument against them. The whole process of being a big college football fan is immature...that's the whole point of being a fan. Going crazy when a college kid scores a touchdown, paying ridiculous amounts of money to go to games, paying money to read what goes on behind the scenes, it's all immature and it's all fun. If someone wants to wear a jersey, paint up, or whatever other silly thing then more power to 'em. Cause it's a game and it's supposed to be fun and a little immature. Go cocks!

The grown man wearing the jersey is the same guy yelling like a 10 year old for a college kid's autograph. The guy wearing the polo or dress shirt is making business contacts while tailgating. The guy in the jersey is shotgunning Natty Lights and propping up a plate of chicken bones on his belly. The guy in the polo sits in the club section. The guy in the jersey sits upper east, row 35. The guy in the jersey goes to work Monday morning for the guy in the polo. Of course there are exceptions to every rule but go to the Navy game next week and people watch a little and tell me this isn't very accurate. It's all part of a mindset and very much a socioeconomic thing.

Do you ever go to pro games? 90 percent of the people wear jerseys. Seriously who cares. I don't. I also don't wear a jersey and cargo shorts etc. Myself.
