What is your favorite part of football?

  • A pounding and punishing running game that eats about 7-8 minutes on our opening drive culminating with a TD...rinse and repeat. I love nothing better than gassing the opposing defense.

Sure it's boring, but Kill the body and the head will die.

  • Specific, HellRooster called, a big stick on 3rd & short is something that gets me fired up.

Big picture, it's fond childhood memories of my late Dad and his two buddies having drinks and tellin' lies about their days on campus; for 30/40 years going to games knowing, most of the time, we were more likely to lose than win but gutting it out and staying loyal to their school. I am just trying to carry on the family tradition and loving every minute of it.

  • I love to watch certain star players play unstoppably. Like Megatron, Adrian Peterson, Clowney, Manziel. I love it. it amazes me.

Tailgating excluded. Speaking strictly on the sport, what is it about the game that excites you the most? Is it a big hit on defense, a bruising run on offense, a 80 yard punt return? For me, I love to watch a well designed defensive play result in a turnover. DJ's interception last year that was a result of a series of several penalties was my favorite play of the year. What say you?

Good question. I guess the obvious ones are beating Clempson and winning in general, but I think you're looking for in-game specifics.

Hard to pick just one. I'm a defense guy and making a goal-line stand(4rth down) esp late in the game really fires me up.

  • Seeing a Gamecock RB or receiver break into the clear with nothing but green grass between him and the goal line, and then outrunning the defender trying to catch him.

    Kelso Red

  • When the last seconds tick off on a win. The rest of the game I am a miserable wreck.

Not the opening drive, but that drive in Knoxville two years ago was my favorite in recent years.

It broke their will after having us pinned deep.
