What prospect has disappointed you the most....

After following recruiting for many years and seeing the star rankings I though I would bring up this question.
What prospect has disappointed you the most after arriving at USC with high expectations?
For me it's easy. Larry Freeman. I remeber him coming out of JUCO high 4* big body receiver and I remeber thinking to myself this guy is going to be something really special. All it took was for me to watch one spring game and I knew he was a bust. But my goodness did I ever have high hopes for one recruit as I did for Freeman.

the entire highly rated offensive line class we signed one year under either Scott or Holtz - and virtually each got hurt or did not play,or did not live
up to expectations - remember one of them was Todd Davis from Union - who got hurt and never played a game.

It's got to be summers. Another ... And I can't believe I'm gonna type this ... Is Garcia. Will go down as one of the all time greats as he accomplished so many team goals but dang... He coulda been a 1st rounder.

LOL!! JJ Brown was my first vote. Took me a bit and some help to remember the name. There are definitely some on this list, but some don't belong, because they got here and did well before they slipped up and didn't finish. For my $$, it's the ones who were supposed to be so good and never accomplished squat, even when they had the chance.
Lawrence Mitchell is very high up there, and Hurley, from the standpoint I watched him in some Shrine Bowl practices and he reminded me of a smaller Ray Lewis. Not sure why he never panned out, but it just didn't happen for whatever reason(s.)

No, no he didn't. Gracias biggest inefficiency was accuracy which is the NFLs most important trait in a QB. Best for Garcia would have been a late round pick.

I agree on Meat (played AAU ball with him for 2 years & he was the best overall athlete regardless of sport that I had the privilege to play with while in high school). Disappointed isn't even the word for me when things turned out the way they did for Meat.

This is a good list. I would remove Darel Slay since he gave us some good plays. And by that point we should have all already been weary of the Rivals insanely over-ranking JUCOs system. Anyone saying Garcia is nuts - he is just recent but holy crap we have had so many bigger busts than him. His behavior was disappointing, but he was not a bust like sme other guys.
