What was the first Gamecock football game you attended?

Florida 1993. I made out with some married broad while her husband took their insufferable son to piss. Greatest day of my life.

    Sheer brilliance. Upvote.

One of the games in '77. Not sure which one. My Uncle Joe Tronco took me to my first Gamecock game. He passed away last week at age 93. I had just turned 14 and had moved here from Birmingham, AL. My "team" had been Alabama. I wasn't sold on Carolina until the '84 season, lol. Can you blame me?! Thanks, Uncle Joe!

So are you Jay and John's dad?

  • 1991 opener against Duke, I was 9 and got to ride up from Moncks Corner with my Dad in his highway patrol car. He had to work the game and my brother was a freshman so I got to sit with him and some hot gals on the top row of the North Endzone. I remember looking over the edge and waving at my Dad, with my brother and his fraternity brothers completely boogered up!

  • First one I remember was 1977 Ga Tech. I remember walking out of the stadium telling my dad, "we didn't even let the other team score. That doesn't seem too nice." He said, "son, that's the point".

I may have went to a game before, but that was my first memory. I know I went to some in between, but the next one i remember was Ron Bass against Duke (I think in 78).
