Which do you think was worse this past school year?

SEC officiating in football,
or,
college baseball umpiring?
Both were horrendous. That being said, watched several football games today from this past season and the SEC crews really make one cringe.

The officiating in our game versus UGA was atrocious. The play that sticks put the most was the one where their TE had our guy by the face mask and pulled it and spun him around 4 feet in front of the official and there was no call.

As bad as the UGA game was, I actually think the Miss St game was far and away the worst officiated game of the year. We should have had at least 8 penalties in that game, plus the terrible reviews and the no call facemask/interference on Alshon.

Holding prevented Clowney from having 6-8 sacks in that game....it was terrible. Penn Wagers looking right at all of those.

What holding?
They were obviously trying to help him stay on his feet. I'm sure he'd been drinking all day & needed help to get to hail a taxi.
Seeing that picture, though, got me to thinking. I wonder what would happen if the league office was flooded with dozens of pictures showing holding no-calls against our guys (and maybe the holds called on us for comparison). I'm pretty sure what would happen would be they'd just be ignored or file 13'd on receipt. But I'd love to find a way to put a magnifying glass on the inequity of holding calls in the SEC. I know other calls are missed, but the truest display of what entitled schools get away with is crystal clear in the holding call/no call situation.

That was blatant, and should have been 15 yards.
Also, I seem to remember a couple of runs against clempsun and nebraska where people grabbed Kenny's facemask. They let it go, but one time it spun him around, and you slow a guy down for a second, and it gives everyone a chance to close up. Should have been at least 5 yard variety. In a run against, I think, clempsun, he got his facemask grabbed twice.
The one against Alshon was dangerous. Just ridiculous that it wasn't called. I was so happy he caught it, that at the time, I just mentioned it in passing. After I thought about it, that stuff cannot be allowed.
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
