That's because all the trolls are drawn to them like magnets. But many people get sick of that crap and don't visit nearly as often or leave comments due to the trolls. Get rid of the trolls, and the site would grow faster due to the fact that people would be telling all of their friends about how good the board is. I've seen numerous comments from people about how they won't leave comments because they know they will be attacked for their opinions. How sad.
