And I put about 95 percent of it on Batson.
But even with Tommy Moffit as S&C we wouldn't have won today. We slept walked. Celebrated too much last week...NCSU backs against wall...I think our players were more ready for the spring game than today's.
So much of the game is how mentally and emotionally ready to play a team is. We haven't been ready to play since VT.
Think about other teams...and how fan overconfidence/players being flat affect teams?
Bama today vs GA southern? Arky at Ole Miss/Vandy compared to at home vs Scar? Us vs Wofford/Troy compared to Auburn/FSU/VT UGA vs Auburn compared to UK UF vs UGA/Scar compared to Furman/Vandy
See Saban in the link below. This is a championship mentality. He is basicly desribing this message board/our team/and our fans. Even last night you had fans talking about Ok St losing and how that might affect our MNC hopes.

Said we were able to hide the fact how poor our OL was run blocking...Teams understand now they can stop our running game with 4, and drop 7 into coverage. As good as we've been throwing the ball, it amazed me how we still couldn't dominate the line of scrimmage. Teams now can afford to drop into coverage on 2nd/3rd and 5/6/7 and blitz on 3rd and longs.
Even designed quarterback runs where we have 6/7 on 4 a lot of times we can't get 3 yards.
That is the biggest issue with this offense. The lack of push by the OL.
We were able to hide it for a long time...
We had to play very well tonight to win...we came out flat and got drilled. I honestly thought we'd lose, but not in this fashion. I thought a blowout either way was the best thing to happen for next week concerning our chances of beating the cocks.
We will be ranked higher, and a slight dog this week...but I think we win, and wouldn't be shocked if the line came out baiting for a ton of action on South Carolina. We will be ready to play, and I fully expect to win. Can't say I felt that way going into GT/Wake or today.

Dude, he's a consistently reasonable poster who happens to root for Clemson and thinks they are going to win, Tony recently said Clemson would likely be favored(granted that might change after their loss to state). However that in no way makes him a fraud, your making gamecock fans look unreasonable with comments like that. Woodrow constantly agrees with clemsons deficiencies that many on here post

Took ban bet for life with Steve Cook on this site. I think we will win. Thought we'd beat FSU/Auburn before the season started and thought we'd lose to NCSU/Maryland.
In my heart of hearts...I think we win. I also thought we'd win last year though. I didn't think we'd win in 2009. Helps our chances that we got blown out tonight IMO.
I know that's crazy for a fan to think...especially how poor we've played on the road.
Gamecock Ron,
I'd say our best win is either on road at VT or at home vs Auburn. I think VT is very overated and there QB played horrible vs us.
What do you think UGA's best win is? Cocktail party? Home win vs Miss St?
UGA and VT are a lot alike IMO. Both haven't beaten really anyone. VT beat GT with an extra week to prepare...but also on the road/Thursday night.
Fans most overrated thought process is "what happened week before".
See UGA-Auburn....then UK
See Vandy-Arky....then next week.mayflycock ●

You are without a doubt one of the dumbest posters to ever visit this site. You certainly won't be ranked higher, and the fact that you are more confident of a win over a rival that is ranked in the top 10 over unranked opponents is exemplary of typical CU narcissistic bull$hit. You would think that the pounding you took last year would be a lesson but obviously not. Given the current circumstances, it is the ultimate show of disrespect. If a NC State defense can do that to you, imagine what a real defense can do. Coming on here and professing a win after proving you are without a doubt on of the biggest pretenders in all of college football is prototypical Clemson. It is a laughable and transparent way of dealing with your pain. There are posters on here that will down vote this post. Don't take any solace in that. That is nothing more than typical, old gamecock fans playing nice and is something that Clemson fans have never participated in, and is the only thing you really should be congratulated for. Getting blown out is never a good omen for the next game and arguing that is the height of ignorance. Ask your 104.9 buddy Deptula what he thinks of that logic. He will laugh your a$$ out of the house. Momentum is everything in football. We have it and you don't. The argument you're making is futile and ignorant. While college football is very unpredictable and anything can happen, the ignorance of your argument will always remain. You are a scourge on this site. If we win, make sure you uphold your part of the bargain and disappear into oblivion as a good little Clemson fan should. If you should happen to win, that will really be too bad for a great site like this that does not need a mouthy Clemson fan espousing victory over a top 10 rival after being humiliated by an unranked opponent. Here's hoping AMF !
