JW, thank you so much for doing this. I like to hear about some of our former greats. Fantastic job!
A1 was an excellent QB for us. A rare talent. If Brad would have gotten him some linemen, we would have had some good teams under him.
I like the QB's that, even if you have every receiver covered on 3rd down, take off and get the first down anyways. You can hear the air come out of defenses when guys like A1, Syvelle, and Connor do that.
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.

Good for Anthony stickin' with his school.
Just saw the ESPN "The Biggest Play Ever" dockie on the UF-BAMA SEC Championship in '92. It is great if you
haven't seen it; lots of Spurrier footage in his USC attire. The BAMA defensive players in the film have not
one thing to say other than that Spurrier was an incredible coach---one DE called him the Juggernaut of Coaches.

I don't think Grantz ever made a regular season roster, but I think Phil Petty may have. Bill Troup played for the Colts, maybe others for several years. Dan Reeves played some quarterback at USC, didn't he.? Wonder if they're counting him?

I've always felt A1 had the best tools of any qb we have had, and he proved it with his lenhthy NFL career .Unfortunately, he was hurt by poor coaching and a below average OL.

Wright, Troup,and Reeves are definitely three - Reeves was a QB at USC. While he had great career stats - not sure if Ellis made a roster.

I don't have the media guide with me at the baseball stadium. I'll check when I get home. I went through the list twice and counted four different QBs. One was not Todd Ellis.

Reeves played QB at USC but RB for the Cowboys. In fact, he broke rushing and receiving records for the Cowboys in 1966. He was undrafted.
I'm still somewhat shocked neither Gordon Beckham nor Bobby Fuller made the NFL.

Ellis was one of the first cuts in camp. He may have made one preseason game. No win situation for him with Elway and a very solid #2 already on the team.
