But still under ranked by a large margin.
There are only 39 voters in the AP and 14(35%) didnt have us ranked at all.
Vandy who is 13-2 and lost to us is ranked higher than us in 15(38%) of ballots.
UNC who is 12-3 and got destroyed by us on a neutral court is ranked higher in 26(67%) of ballots.
Our highest ranking is 14 by Clay Horning(Norman, OK).

Lady G's beat the Lady UNCs by 31 and are still ranked behind them. Laughable. Fight on street fighters.

It's about time!! They've deserved to be for the way they've looked already this season IMO. Now, as long as they can stay consistent, we may have a nice run in the making, and voters will take notice of them much earlier in the future.

A fan of BOTH schools? Wow!! Not sure I've ever met someone that applies to! Not knocking you, just saying that between the old "ACC days," them backing out on playing us in baseball, football, etc., and them saying they are the "Real" Carolina, you don't hear of someone pulling for both. You're almost like the Loch Ness Monster in the sense no one is really sure one existed. ;)

Bone didnt last here for a reason. Staley is a defensive minded coach and that is evident in the team ranking #2 in points allowed per game this season. From what i have been told, Bone was not fond of running the court and playing defense ever possession. I think the team is fine without her and with our current bigs, Stephens and Welch, they like to run the court and play thier hearts out every possession.
