He has better talent to work with....there were reasons he was told to look for a job.....he was a lazy recruiter....who sometimes signed a guy to make it appear he was doing something......ie CC Whitlock and Jimmy lagree.....both big misses in terms of being over valued in evaluations...... talk to anyone who knows football and they will tell you the same

Exactly. I don't recall folks questioning his coaching while he was here ... his effects on the locker room and his efforts with recruiting were questioned. It seems that he's pretty damn good at coaching up players, though.

can't tell if you're being sarcastic...but I'm pretty sure Gilmore will play in the NFL.

ok I got to interject. CC Whitlock wasa 150 top recruit with a committable offer from Nick Saban. Jimmy Legree was recruited by Ellis and Whammy.... You are rght about him being a little lazy in recruiting but he really nosedived when he did not get the DC job and his role in the Defense was diminished by Elllis

I can understand people being disappointed with the play of the secondary as a group, or calling into question tha abilities of a coach. but...to call out players ...by name and suggest that they should have NEVER have been signed is, to me, over the top. Some folks on here have no sense of what is right and wrong...these are 17-18 year old kids that come to work out every day and most do their level best. I know that some feel that since they come to school for "FREE" that they are fair game. How would you feel if someone went public with the information that they feel you suck at what you do? JMO

This is a network whose success is built around saying whether or not players are any good.

Built around experts saying that. Not people that have just heard of football before.

we do, at least those who know more about football say so. I'll go with their view over the folks on this board.

Yeah I'm sure the members here ran across the site and said "Oh football, that sounds fun."

Not to mention it's a message board. The purpose of which is discussion.

Pretty sure whitlock was considered our best recruit in that signing class. Just doesn't have it between the ears.

  • Miss.States QB could not hit the side of a barn last night.Relf is not looking good at all throwing the ball.
I would not begin to compare him to Murray or Bray from tenn.Yeah LSU did look good on defense but
i wouldn't give Cooper all the credit for that game just as i don't put all the blame on our secondary for every completion made.
It just seems to me a lot of posters on this board have agendas. Fire this coach, get rid of that player or run Hyman away.
Football is a team game success or failure on any particular play or game is on the team.
We need to stop throwing our players under the bus.
