is it me or is swofford being blamed unnessisarily. i understand he is a tarheel and that the n.c. schools are basketball oriented, but wasnt bring in fsu, a football move? it wasnt for basketball! how about miami and va. tech? imo they were sure football moves also. i will say boston college was not as strong football wise as the others but thay were not that bad either. is it swoffords fault that bobby bowden started having trouble winning? is it swoffords fault that miami, boston college, pickens tech, and others didnt win big? i think as al davis used to say, JUST WIN BABY!! those schools have no one to blame but themselves. if you want to claim to be academic bastions, join the ivey league. if you want to be relevant, win, put money in your program,put buts in the seats, hire good administrators( not one that pays his assistant coaches $1.4 million a year for 6 years, while he hires a head coach who has never even been a coordinator), get your facilities up to others, and as stated earlier, win. when your conference champion gives up a bowl record 70 points to a big east team, you are in trouble. leaving one conference for another will not make you better, look in the mirror and ask some real , honest, questions. is it swofford or the conference teams? most logical people know the answer to that question. the only team in your conference that has been constant in winning in football is va. tech. be real, when you complain, nd is not coming to your conference, and the big 10 and big 12 are getting ready to raid your members and maybe even the sec will pick off a couple. swofford raided the big east several times and now he will get to see how that feels. you taters are about to become even bigger losers in many ways. but you can always fall back on how good your academics are,and have your hc says on national tv a team from your conf. will win a nc soon. heres to keeping your head in the sand!!
