  • While I'm not sure, I want to re-iterate what someone else posted earlier, who I feel was spot on. He had a full scholly offer, and hesitated, and we filled up pretty much. We've remained in contact and now have extended the greyshirt offer, which still shows our staff wants him and respects his abilities. We've also had it reported by Tony and staff that the Gaffney High staff has been nothing but pleased with how it has all been handled. The bottom line in it all is, we obviously would love to have him, and the ball is in his court for the 2nd time. As some have complained and insinuated since the McCord and Bullard news (not you by the way), our staff couldn't have done anything more than they have in this cycle. You win some and you lose some, but we'll have won way more than we lost when signing day is over, IMO.

  • i was serious, just seems like things should have soured with us. we wanted him early and he wouldn't commit, now we are offering a grey shirt. just a weird situiation and i don't know how he feels about us now.

    I'm not sure which offer you're talking about but if you're saying he won't accept a greyshirt then you may very well be right. If you're saying he wouldn't accept a scholarship from us right now then I'm pretty sure you're wrong on that.

    His big thing is being wanted. He feels like WF needs and wants him. They are constantly at the school and he has a great relationship with Coach Galloway who has watched two full bball practices. UNC has also been to his practice.

    Yeah I understand what you're saying and agree with you to a point but he knows our coaching staff has kept in contact about him the entire time in some capacity. Even when others weren't around campus, practice, etc. Ellis Johnson still had phone conversations with Coach Jones keeping up with Quinshad. I'm not saying that was the main point of their phone calls considering only those 2 know that but I'm pretty sure Coach Jones let Q know that we were asking about him.

Jones and the whole staff are pushing for Carolina but in the end they don't make the decision. Calling Coach Jones and keeping in contact with him is different then making it a point to have face to face contact. I don't think we did anything wrong with our numbers being like they are but at the same time I don't blame QD for not wanting to go to carolina.

    I'm just curious as to why you think the way you do. You seem very sure of him not being a Gamecock. Do you somehow know something that the rest of us don't? I talk to plenty of people all of the time regarding him and I've never gotten that from anyone. I just think him making all of the unofficial visits down here with LJ and Shaq weren't just for the heck of it.
