Arizona a much better team!

  • Gratz on SC for making it to finals. Stellar season considering all the newcomers! Lineup not national championship worthy! Amazing 3 year run, lets hope for a 4th magical year in a row. Go Cocks!

  • They have def. played better than us.

  • Great three year run. Nothing to be ashamed of. Wish Tanner's ball had gotten through to make it interesting but oh well. Congrats AZ, classy team classy coach

  • Don't agree they were "much" better but they were clearly better the last two days. As Lopez just said in his presser, "it's not always the best team that wins but it's usually the hottest" and they certainly were hottest.

Couldn't agree more with this statement! They we're better this week and thus they get the ring this year. Congrats to them they got hot at the perfect time.

    Agree.

They had a lot of the same "luck" that we've experienced, the last two years. But, good teams create their good luck, and AZ did that this year.

We also did a lot of good things, to get to the championship round, playing a bunch of freshmen, and newcomers who had never before played on this stage.

To diminish our effort, in any way, is foolish.

  • Lineup not national championship worthy? Well, we were in the national championship.

You have to tip your cap to them. They were not 'much better', but they were hot and playing with a lot of confidence. They made big plays, big pitches, and had big hits. They had some good fortune, most of which was generated by their hard play.

We have a lot to be proud of. This team battled the whole way.

Offensively........they are night and day better than us. That's okay! We are young and there will be better days ahead. We still made it to the Championship for the third straight year and sixth time in history. There are many schools out there who have never sniffed that klind of success. We are a Championship program and we will be heard from again next season.

Exactly! it wasn't a slight at SC I just feel after watching Zona play 8-9 times in the postseason their offensive lineup was light years better than SC's. 1-9 they hit and put the ball in play. Pitching wise we might be slightly better but overall team, the best team won and sometimes thats ok! Coaching staff did IMO its best job getting that lineup to a championship series pure magic if u ask me!
