Whittle ...... Is Labounty and Hester going Juco for academics? I had heard such great things about both and was looking forward to seeing them in the garnet and black. What's the chances of getting them here in 2014?

I am not always a big fan of retiring numbers. But I believe the number 1 should be retired. What else does someone have to do to have thier number retired? 4 trips to the National Champiohship game and 2 Championships.

Roth could go down as the best to ever put on the Gamecock jersey. He is certainly up there with a group of others. Not sure I want to retire any player numbers right now but I would love to see Roth and a few others honored with their numbers displayed in the stadium somewhere. We have a great tradition at South Carolina and we should display it more for everyone to see.

There is a group of guys you can call the best. But it is close. I would not what to pick the "best" of all time.

I am in favor of honoring individual players and coaches in a designated area of the stadium and perhaps on the outfield fences rather than retiring numbers. However, like Coach Holbrook said no one should wear #1 again.
