If Roth is only up for a couple of weeks, how much would he get?
Good question, I also wish to know.
Total shot in the dark but the total number of days up divided by the league minimum?
$490,000 / 52 = $9423.08 per week before taxes
It's a per game pay scale. So 490,000/160 = about $3060 per game.
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
There is a different formula for people that only stay a few days or a few weeks. I remember reading something about this a couple of years ago.
162 games in a season
I think per-diem is $98 a day.
Players get paid their contract amount the 1st and 15th of the month over the course of the season prorated for everyday they are with the club, per the collective bargaining agreement they also get the (I believe) the 1st 7 days of a hotel paid for in their home city then they are on their own after that, and they get the daily per diem while on the road. Bottom line a very good job!!!

I thought everybody on the 40 man roster got the league minimum. Is that not correct?
You have to be on the major league roster to get the minimum either active or on the disabled list. The 40 man are guys that can either be on a split contract meaning you get one determined amount for the minor league time and another amount for time spent at the major league level or just the predetermined amount for the minor league contract you signed before training camp. 40 man roster is only for option purposes for being sent up or down, nothing to do with amount paid, hope the explanation makes sense because it can get a little complicated
Makes perfect sense. Thanks for taking the time to explain it!
