Hey Folks. How is ticket availability (generally) in Omaha? I got my timezones confused and missed the 8PM GCC cutoff, but that would still only be 2 tickets (and I need 5, but don't need to be together).
Is there a reasonable possibility of getting into the SRO sections for Saturday night? What about outside the stadium? The wife has generously offered to suffer through a looong drive for one baseball game, but definitely don't want 12 hours in the car and not be able to get into the game.
see if we sold out all out tickets tomorrow. Then, if we did, try getting them through the Florida ticket office. If they didn't sell all theirs you can get them that way and they did not sell all theirs for most of their CWS games last year. You can buy standing room tickets and wait a couple of hours in line for sure. and there are scalpers and ticket sellers out front on the street usually and can get tickets there.... get in the car and get out there!
I bet if you call our ticket office Wed a.m. first thing, we will have some left. Good luck
How much overpriced are the scalpers? The ticket exchange run by the CWS has tickets, but they're all 2-3x regular price.
Has anyone done the standing room tickets before? How likely is it that you will get in? With a couple of kids, it's not like I'll spend much time in the seat anyway!
Plenty of ticket's near cost available at the stadium, usually, the better seats will probably be pricey on saturday.
We usually don't sell our allotment out. Contact the ticket office. You may be able to run by the HIlton Saturday morning and pick up a couple.
If not just hang out outside the stadium. You will find them.
Postal are you in Omaha yet?
Heading out in the morning. Going to drive this year.
Should be there sometime Friday afternoon.
There were plenty available from Florida.... they would even sell more than 2 together! It's all part of my master plan to eventually take over their section!
Is there a link for that CWS ticket exchange?
Yep - http://cws.flashseats.com/
Got 4 tickets last year for $70 for the A&M game. They were two sets of two seperated by one section just to the right of homeplate. Was the going rate for the scalpers and on Stubhub at the time. From what I can tell tickets seem to be more expensive this year. I know that the prices tend to go down as the series progresses and some teams go home.
There is a lottery every morning for tickets. Line generally starts at 9am, sale at 10am...No advnatage to going early as they draw a random number and that becomes the front of the line. We bought good lower level seats for all of the games last year this way...Face value.
In short, tickets are not a problem. Many sources to choose from. FWIW, I used a local broker to purchase ticket for the final game agains UF...Six rows up above our dugout...Pd 100 per and it was WORTH EVERY PENNY!!
