  • What do ya'll think about it? I think that he shortens it pretty well, and still maintains power. He brings it off his shoulder, and removes about 6" or so from the avg swing. I used to think it was goofy, but now, I kinda like it. Trey Dyson had great success doing something very similar. Here is a video that shows it well.

    One thing I noticed in that video, why is Clemson holding the runner at first when the game-winning run is at third?

    EDIT -- I guess maybe they think that if he were playing back, there would be no way to make a play at the plate, so you might as well hold him and keep the DP in play.
